v. intr. 1. To turn a matter over and over in the mind. 2. To chew cud.

This is my blog. There may be many like it, both in substance and in my-ness, but those that are similar in content are not by me, and those that were previously by me are now defunct. So, this one is mine.

The blog’s title says why I’m doing this (besides that a friend of mine has a blog that has earned him accolades from strangers, and thus made blogging look fun to me): that I may ruminate on topics that I choose, and that others may in turn ruminate upon my ruminations.

Let me add that I don’t much like the source of the quote I used to title this blog, but the first time I encountered that play, the actress playing Lucetta delivered that line with the most excellent sass and it stuck in my mind. Also, I was a freshman watching a college production of the 1970s musical version of the play and had a crush on the actresses (all older than me, of course) playing Julia, Sylvia, and one of the chorus members. I’m not really that big a fan of Shakespeare, with his overuse of Idiot Plots, the third-wheel Act 5’s, the deii ex machinae, and his Measure for Measure and Troilus and Cressida, but hey: the line worked.
